Soccer Elite FA Goalkeeper Academy
SEFA now have over 150 Goalkeepers within our Development Centres, Advanced Academy and Pro Squads. Goalkeepers receive specific training ensuring that they are given every opporunity to becom the best they can be. SEFA have so far seen keepers from our Goalkeeper Academy signed by professional clubs in the last 4 years and many more on trial with clubs such as Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Gilingham, Leyton Oriant and Wycombe Wanderers as well as many non-league clubs.
The SEFA Goalkeeper specific programme has been designed to facilitate the skills and techniques required to enable individual goalkeepers to progress through the Academy system. As current professional and semi-professional players SEFA Goalkeeper coaches understand the unique pathways a player can take in order become a professional and on top of this the mental and physical strength and dedication needed to perform consistantly leading to maximum development.
Academy topics covered throughout the course of the season:
Positioning, footwork, handling, distribution, crossing, decision making, shot stopping, reactions, speed, agility, power and communication all delivered to condition goalkeepers to perform in professional matches.

Goalkeepers who impress will get the opportunity to represent our Advanced Academy in friendly matches against professional opposition such as Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sessions run every Monday & Friday at Maplesden Noakes School in Maidstone on our fantastic 3G ( third generation ) Training pitch, this runs alongside our Development Centre and Advanced Academy for outfield players where goalkeepers will also be involved in game situations as well as goalkeeper training.
SEFA offer One to One training sessions for goalkeepers that wish to put in even more hard work. These sessions are specifically designed around the individual player, working on strengths and weaknesses in your game including assessment and a personal training program. This has paid off for one of our goalkeepers in particular, Bradley Comins, who has worked hard to earn his third year at Crystal Palace Academy.
Goalkeepers of all ages and abilities and at different levels have benefitted from the coaching and experience passed down to them, helping to produce top quality goalkeepers across Kent.
Scott has recently been asked by the Kent County Schools Football Association to coach all of their Goal Keepers which is a massive achievment. Well done Scott
